System Flex Adjustable Kitchens

The kitchen that adapts to individual needs

Everybody deserves a functional kitchen. However large or small, luxurious or simple; the kitchen is the social hub of most buildings. From culinary delights to a cup of tea, being able to perform these tasks is essential for independence and social integration.

System Flex kitchens are the result of a co-operation between Architects, Occupational Therapists, Housing Providers and of course the end user. These professionals and consumer groups specify System Flex time and time again when a kitchen is required which will work for the user rather than against them.

Since the concept was originally introduced in the UK there have been many imitators but System Flex remains the only ergonomically correct range of kitchen furniture and is still the first choice for the social housing environment and educational establishments.

System Flex is ideal for:

  • Social Housing as an accessible kitchen for wheelchair users
  • Adaptations combined with rise & fall worktops
  • Student Accommodation as a fully inclusive kitchen
  • Rehab Centres with flexible solutions for disabled people
  • Food Technology with accessibility for a range of users

Indeed any kitchen or multi-user environment where those with limited mobility can be fully integrated with other users without compromising style & function.

System Flex has been specifically designed & manufactured to cope with the inevitable hard usage experienced in these areas; after all you wouldn’t expect to see a contract specification kitchen installed in such a demanding situation.

There are over 166 cabinet configurations available and bespoke units can be manufactured to suit those awkward dimensions.

For instant adjustment System Flex furniture is often combined with ‘rise and fall’ mechanisms.  For details of our Mobil Flex range of height adjustable worktop frames please click here.

How it works

System Flex has a unique ‘hook suspension system’ which allows base units and wall cupboards to be set at the optimum height for the user. This built in flexibility means that the kitchen can be easily altered to accommodate the changing needs of the user or the correct working level for a new tenant.
